March 2013 Report
At the March meeting Frank Fox stepped in at short notice as the original demonstrator, Eric Turner, couldn't attend.
Frank did a magnificent demo of a candlestick. It was turned in 4 separate parts - base, main stick, cup to catch wax and candleholder
A great advantage of this method is the saving on wood, as well as being able to make a stronger cup from a cross-section than if he had cut the full stick from one piece of wood.
He had pre-drilled the holes for connecting the pieces.
He also brought some other examples of his work for us to see - a beautiful clock and a rocking chair.
